What is SelfCAD?

SelfCad is an online 3D modeling and sculpting software that empowers users to create the world’s next great thing. With its built-in additive and subtractive manufacturing slicer and tools, SelfCAD’s mission is to make 3D designing and printing accessible to everyone, including hobbyists and students who have little to no prior expertise using CAD/CAM software.

 

SelfCad for Education has great advantages in in the classroom as students can save their work to SelfCad's online storage and then access it at home. This means that the learning from the lesson can continue outside of school.

 

This is vitally important in education, whilst the bulk of the learning takes place in teacher lessons, for students to really extend their learning, they have to be able to build on it in their own time.

 

From a teachers point of view, this means that they can actually set CAD designing tasks for homework. As long as the student can access a computer with an internet connection, exist the opportunity for this to take place. SelfCad for Education was designed around the current needs of middle and high school classrooms.
